Finish Something - Alchemist


Still not sure if I'd call this completely finished. I could rethink the whole composition and add background and foreground elements, spare limbs, wiring, an alembic, calcinator, etc, but I've procrastinated enough for now.

This is excellent, particularly the textures. Great character design, and great implied detail. You seem to have a really good sense of how to put enough detail into things without overcomplicating them.
It's really a strong piece, but I feel there should be a little more interest in that tube the character is holding up. He seems to be interested in it, we should as well.

Thank you for the critique. I agree with you about the tube, looking at it again. Maybe I'll add some bubbles, or some sort of interesting liquid interaction.

I kind of want to go back and color the whole thing too, but I think I'd have to stick with something fairly monochromatic or entirely affected by the environment. There's really not much color in bones and a bunch of metal.
