Elegant Giants
My attempt this week is a bit... weak. I got sick, and just kinda put some colors on a rough sketch. It's not at all apparent what's going on. The giants are supposed to be dancing in the River Thames, but I just scribbled a lot rather than drawing actual water. I really should set a better example. Anyway, Colonel Heliostat's is excellent, so the week isn't a total bust.

I like the stylization of the characters on this one a lot. The skyline is great too.
This topic got me thinking a lot about how to show large scale. Aside from atmosphere/haze, perspective, and surroundings, it's kind of tricky. Much more so for something stylized.
If you work on this one more, I think your main visual clues, aside from little people/boats, would be the water. I don't know exactly what it would look like at that scale, but I'm sure it would be interesting and strange.
I think this is a really neat piece and has a lot of potential to be taken a lot further. I find it really sweet and strangely romantic for two giants to be dancing through the Thames.
